New Discovery of Book of Mormon Ruins

This link should work. Just wait through the 15 second advertisement, then watch about the new discovery of Mayan ruins. The Lamanites and Nephites were the Mayan people. Too bad these archealogists don't have the Gift of the Holy Ghost to help them to properly identify their work!

Hopefully the link works.

Very interesting!

I am intrigued with those ancient ruins as I served a mission to Mexico and then graduated from BYU in Spanish; where we studied early civilizations and ancient writings.

Have you seen the new documentary entitled Journey of Faith? I LOVED it. You can google it for reviews and information. I was deeply moved at the photography and expert commentaries. There are two DVD's; One from the Old World and the second one entitled "Journey of Faith; The New World".

Sometimes they play during Conference sessions up here. I don't know if they'd be on down there or on-line?

Anyway --- there is much to learn --- and .....so little time. :)

Heidi, probably the very best book I have read about the Nephite/Lamanite civilizations is 'The Lives and Travels of Mormon and Moroni' by Jerry Ainsworth. Absolutely fascinating and very well documented. I believe it is out of print, but I think it can be special ordered through Deseret Book. Jerry also has a website where it can be ordered:

It is well worth getting. I have read it multiple times - it's that good.
